• MIYAGI Television Broadcastins Co., Ltd. is proud to announce the inauguration of its new nonlinear editing and telecasting system. to coincide with the refurbishing of its studios for primary and peripheral news. With the nonlinear system, a server stories video and audio programs, and then, via an optical LAN with an ATM switching system, sends them to independent terminals for editing and telecasting. The first of its kind in Japan, the integrated system enables staff to preview and/or telecast programs in real time after editing. Its principal application is to primary news programs, as well as to "peripheral information" programs such as event announcements, program publicity spots, etc.
