10 years have been passing since our first introduction of the flicker-free power supply for HMI light to Japanese market. In the time, the users have come to notice the high efficiency of HMI lamps and its number and the applications are greatly increased. On the other hand, the users require more sophisticated and reliable power supply. To meet this requirement, we have further improved a 1. 2KW flicker-free power supply in the following points: l. Adoption of natural ventilation. Fan noise has been criminated ensuring the power supply in quieter opcration. 2. Wide ranges of AC input mains; 90 to 132V & 180 to 264V. In addition, the input mains is sensed and switched automatically for more safety and firm operation. 3. A selection switch for a 575V HMI lamp is newly installed so that the power supply can also be used for a 575V light. 4. More safety and protective functions are newly integrated and the reliability is greatly increased. 5. Both dimension and weight are minimized and the power supply has become more compact and light weight.
