• Four new species, Chaetanaphothrips kiyosumianus, C. sexsaetosus, C. okikirmui and C. querci, are described from Japan. Redescriptions and new locality records are given for C. machili (Japan, Malaya) and C. orchidii (Burma, Nepal). A key to the known species of Chaetanaphothrips is provided.
