A New Gall Forming Aphid of the Genus Tuberocephalus SHINJI (Homoptera, Aphididae) on Cherry Trees in Japan

• A new species of the gall forming aphid belonging to the genus Tuberocephalus SHINJI is described and illustrated under the name of Tuberocephalus misakurae. This species is closely related to T. sakurae (MATSUMURA) and T. higansakurae (MONZEN), but differs from them mainly by its number of setae on the siphunculus, and differs from T. sakurae by the presence of sclerites on the alate fundatrigenia.
