• The study of food preference, utilization and consumption has already been made elsewhere (Sarin 1970). In order to make digestion more understandable the enzymatic study of digestion of Alphitobius diaperinus is undertaken. This insect is not only a cosmopolitan feeder of stored food products but is also found carnivorous at some stages. This work gives us a pattern of distribution of enzymes in various parts of its alimentary tract, thus confirming about its diet.
