The volume of the uterus fluctuates with different phases of the menstrual cycle but the bulk of it is contributed by the corpus. Measurements of the corpus are taken separately from that of the cervix in all routine ultrasound gynaecological scans. Calculation of the uterine volume is made entirely with that of the corpus. Variation of the uterine and ovarian volumes with different phases of the menstrual cycle will be presented.
