To increase wear resistance of electrode tip is one of important factor for productivity by spot welding. This report gives some testing results for electrode of chromium bearing copper alloy. It is found in it that the effect of heat treament on the durabiluty of the electrode and that, for an example, a heat treated electrode stands to make about 6000 spots under suitable cooling condition.
