On Some Infraspecific Variation of Chrysomelid Beetles (Coleoptera) Occurring in the Ryukyu Archipelago

Consideration is made on the origin of some discontinuous distribution of infraspecific variation observed in some chrysomelid populations distributing in the Ryukyu Archipelago. The origin of these discontinuous distribution is considered as a result of influence of random genetic drift rather than natural selection.
