• The genus Colenisia Fauvel is synonymized with the genus Colenis Erichson. Two new species, Colenis lunaris sp. nov. and C. saikaidoensis sp. nov. with a subspecies, C. saikaidoensis onodai subsp. nov. are described with illustrations of important features. Colenisia miyatakei (Hisamatsu) is transferred to the genus Dermatohomoeus Hlisnikovsky. Keys to the Japanese species of the genera Dermatohomoeus and Colenis are given.
