• The species of the genus Hylaeus Fabricius from the Ryukyu Islands, Japan are revised, and 6 species and 1 subspecies are recognized. One species among them is newly described from the Yayeyama Islands (Yonaguni-jima, Iriomote-jima and Ishigaki-jima) and the Okinawa Islands (Izena-jima). Some new localities and numerous floral records on the other species are added. A key to species and subspecies of Hylaeus on the Ryukyu Islands is given.
