• Gene interaction of Bar Lobe^2, both of which exert effects on the compound-eye form, were studied in Drosophila melanogaster. The genes, Bar and Lobe^2, which affect on the form of the compound-eye and head, act generally in association with one another in Bar-Lobe^2 strain, but the elimination of compound-eye and abnormalities of maxillary palps are induced rather frequently. The variation of eye-size and abnormalities found in antennae and maxillary palps was described.
