The demand for high speed wireless local communication with high spectral efficiency is obvious as the novel applications such as multimedia are emerging. In order to mitigate the multipath effects that limits the achievable data rates, multicarrier transmission has been actively considered. The performance of the multicarrier transmissions can be further enhanced by introducing error coding techniques across the sub carrier. In this paper we examine forward error/erasure correction with different erasure criteria for π/4-QPSK based multcarrier transmissions with differential detection.
