The following accounts on the polychaetous annelids of the Ise Sea are based upon the collection made by Mr. Y. OSHIMA of the Fishery Experimental Station of the Tokyo Imperial University located on the Chita Peninsula, Middle Japan. Among 13 species herein described the two species, Glycera gigantea and Lumbriconereis impatiens, have been first recorded from Japan and, moreover, the Amphictenid worm, Pectinaria (Cistenides) sp., may be considered to be new to science, while most of the other 10 species occur in common along the southern Japanese waters. Two Sabellid worms, Sabella, albicans and Sabellastarte bocki were rediscovered since JOHANSSON'S (1992) original record. Here follows a list of the species. Family Aphroditidae 1) Aphrodite aculeata (LINNE) Family Nephthydidae 2) Nephthys caeca FABRICIUS Family Glyceridae 3) Glycera rouxii AUDOUIN et M.-EDWARDS 4) Glycera chirori IZUKA 5) Glycera gigantea QUATREFAGES Family Eunicidae 6) Marphysa tamurai OKUDA 7) Diopatra neapolitana DELLE CHIAJE 8) Lumbriconereis impatiens CLAPAREDE Family Chaetopteridae 9) Mesochaetopterus japonicus FUJIWARA Family Cirratulidae 10) Audouinia comosa (MARENZELLER) Family Amphictenidae 11) Pectinaria (Cistenides) sp.
