The outage probability of a forward link DS-CDMA cellular system with fast TPC based on SIR is investigated by using Monte Carlo simulation. Two kinds of channel models: random delay resolvable path model and tapped delay line model are considered. The effect of the number of resolvable paths, the number of RAKE fingers, the multipath intensity profile, and the maximum limit of transmit power is investigated. The outage probabillty of a system with SIR based TPC is compared to that without TPC and the link capacity of the forward link is compared with that of the reverse link.
