Customer satisfaction is determined by the profit that a project produces based on the investment in the project. Customer's requests are treated as a project's requirements. Current project management does not provide ways of selecting appropriate requirements from the viewpoint of ROI (Return on Investment). The ERVM (Earned Requirement Value Method) is intended to determine a value for a project's requirements, and thus to manage the ROI. The ERVM is still in its developmental phase, though its application is expected soon. Therefore, it is important to support the users of the ERVM by providing project management software tools. In this paper, we introduce the ERVM, and describe a model software tool for supporting the method. We also describe a prototype tool developed through the model's application.
