The technologies of the RF(Radio Frequency) equipment have been verified for the communication satellite payload. Those are the LNA(Low Noise Amplifier), Up/Down-converter, Local Oscillator, Channel Amplifier and MSM(Microwave Switch Matrix) for the active equipment technology, and the Input wide band filter, RF/IF Channel Filter, Multiplexer with manifold for the passive equipment. The objective of this engineering verification was to investigate the feasibility of those equipment applicable to the hybrid satellite named COMS(Communications, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite). The results show that the items described above can be developed by ETRI with local companies, of which the heritages had been accumulated so far. This paper describes the key performances of the RF equipment based on the test results. Followed by this verification, the flight model equipment will be developed for the COMS.
