The photoluminescence (PL) peak of the porous Si (PS) will shift towards blue after the sample is treated by oxidication in ozone atmosphere and deoxidization in HF. It proves that the PL origin is due to the quantum confinement (QC) effect. By using two-step anodization to form the PS, we find that the QC effect is also important in the formation of the PS.
