Tim-dependent behabior of various plasma variables of an AC-PDP cell such as the electron temperature, density, densities of ions and excited species and surface charge distribution are obtained by solving the tim-dependent, 2-dimensional multi-fluid equations. It showed that the wider the sustain electrode, the bigger the surface charge variation in one period which implies a more stable sustainmeat can be obtained with wider sustain electrodes.
