• SDH/SONET standard now became backbone of the global telecommunication networks. 156 Mbps fiber optic receivers have been widely used in SDH and ATM systems. This increasing need accelerates optical receivers with high sensitivity, compactness, mass-productictivity and economy which need to be dealt into put real applications. This paper describes a high sensitivity, compact, 3.3V operated, surface mount reflow solderable 156Mbps fiber optic receiver.
