In the coming century, Solar Power Satellite System is recommended as an alternative electric energy generation option since this system can give relatively "green" and eternal energy supply from the sun. A small scale SPS System, SPS2000, has been proposed by Japan. In the concept, the satellite is built at an altitude of 1,100 km above the equator and generates a 10 MW microwave power output. The rectennas are placed in the equatorial countries, and Indonesia is one of the selected sites. This study describes some aspects of rectenna development for SPS2000 energy reception in Indonesia. Location considerations are described briefly.
