In this paper, we introduce a simple method to evaluate the satellite visibility at the sky above vehicles moving in real roads. This method uses GPS (Global Positioning System) satellites as signal sources. We carried out the evaluation method in cities, expressways and rural areas. The results are shown as polygon-like drawings in vehicle-centered horizontal coordinate. Comparing the results, there are considered to be characteristic patterns of communication satellites' visibility in the sky above vehicles in a metropolitan, an expressway and a rural area, respectively. The result also indicates the eight-figure satellite's superiority to a geostationary satellite in the viewpoint to improve the availability of satellite navigation system for land vehicles moving in every environment.
