• Nowadays, medical accident increases in Japanese patient environment. It is considered that the most of accidents are due to mistakes of nurse. However, those accidents might be highly prevented by proper management of medical articles. In the patient environment, each medical article is dependent on the patient. If the dependence is not correct, the accidents are going to arise. If a suitable monitor system of patient environment is developed, the accidents are prevented. In this study, new monitor system using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is proposed. In the method, RFID tags are attached to patient and some medical articles. Mixture of medical articles for each patient is prevented to monitor the tag matching information. Workload of nurses during identification are small, so the system can be operated in Hands-Free. In this paper, an efficiency of improved LF band RFID is described in simulated nursing environment.
