Receiving properties of the thin film slot antennas fabricated on a dielectric substrate were investigated in order to know the operating wavelength of the antennas at 2.5 THz. It was found that the slot antenna needs to be designed using the free space wavelength different from the one lower than 700 GHz. On the other hand, the transmitting wave in the substrate receives the effects of dielectric constant, absorption coefficient and the thickness of the substrate as well as the one lower than the 700 GHz. Wavelength of transmitting wave on the CPW is the mean wavelength.
