Hypothetical reasoning and case-based have been used by diagnosing faults system as the typical methods in AI. Hypothetical reasoning can find an exact solution, however, there is a problem that inference speed is slow. And other hand, Case-based reasoning can find a solution at high speed, however, it's difficult to find an exact solution. In this paper, we proposed "HSC" (Hypothetical reasoning System with Case-based reasoning) which can find exact solution at high speed. We improved that "HSC" can store past experiences of inference as cases in order to speed up in changing background knowledge particularly because there are many times to change background knowledge in diagnosing faults problem. In addition, we examined validity of "HSC" with a diagnostic problem of a logic circuit.
