A Method of Generating Seamless Textures Using a Multi-Distance Co-occurrence Matrix and Natural Texture

We propose the Multi-Distance Co-occurrence Matrix, and the method of generating seamless textures form texture patterns in the nature based on the proposed matrix. We have proposed a seamless textures generation method that eliminates the discontinuity at the boundaries caused when repeatedly displaying texture patterns. However, the former method could not generate a new texture patterns out of existing texture patterns. In order to solve the limitation of the former method, we propose the texture generation methods based on fractals with co-occurrence matrix (TFCM). To further improve the pattern generation, we introduced the Multi-Distance Co-occurrence Matrix, and the texture generation method based on the matrix (TFMCM), which better represents the original texture.
