In order to provide a more efficient radiation treatment planning server at the heavy ion treatment facility for cancer therapy, we decreased the time for the calculation of radiation dose distribution and digitally reconstructed radiograph (DRR) by using a network parallel processing system that included 10 alpha21164A CPUs. Calculation area is divided and each processor takes charge of more than one part in order to balance the load. Communication data is compressed to save communication time. In this system, the dose calculation produced a 7-times increase in speed with 10 CPUs over the sequential execution and the DRR calculation produced a 9-times increase.
