Generally, a signal embedded in the low frequency domain is not affected seriously by attacks, but blocking effects which can be perceived easily may be occurred among adjoining blocks. In order to prevent the blocking effects, a watermark is embedded using the addition property among two-dimensional DCT basic matrices. For the addition property, a watermark is able to extracted not from the embedded block directly, but from the sub-block located in the central region of the block. Considering the distortions caused by the geometric transformations, we recover the synchronization loss before the extraction process. The robustness can also be improved by error-correction.
