• This paper proposes a piecewise linear non-autonomous chaos generator that includes a switched inductor with time delay. The dynamics can be grasped by using piece-wise exact solutions and one-dimensional return map can be derived rigorously. Using the return map, we formulate bifurcation equations and clarify tangent bifurcation route to chaos. Rough global bifurcation sets are given. Some of chaotic attractors are verified in the laboratory.
