Texture mapping is an important technique to increase the intricate details covering the 3D models. We propose an algorithm that enables high quality texture map construction through the projection from multiple views onto 3D model. The extracted textures for each polygon were packed into tessellated rectangular texture map. To solve the discontinuity problem along the edge of triangle, the texture outside each triangle in image space are also stored into texture triangle without increasing the extra memories. The optimal correspondence between the triangle vertices in image space and the triangle vertices in texture space make the constructed texture only have the least warping distortion. The experimental results are presented to verify our algorithm.
