An important part of face-to-face communication is the existence of direct facial contact. In remote communication systems, camera offset creates a discrepancy in the sight lines of the parties and so degrades communication quality. One solution, the use of sophisticated equipment is too expensive. Moreover, when there are three parties in the communication session, it is impossible for all sight lines to match. This paper introduces the technique of creating a front facing image from the images captured by two camera and image processing software. The two face images are combined and wrapped around a ball model. This method, which offers the possibility of real-time operation, was adopted for a remote lecture system with several students.
