Relaxation Training Using Motion : A Preliminary Report

This report deals with relaxation training using bodily motions. Noguchi Gymnastics (Noguchi, 1979), the famous relaxation exercise in Japan, was utilized as experimental tasks in this study. Five male undergraduates participated in 6 daily experimental session. Electromyographic (EMG) and kinesiologic data showed that decreases in muscle activities produced the smoothness in the bodily motions.
