• 1. A role of hepatic autoimmune process in initiation and/or progression of chronic liver ciseases may be varied largely depending on different entities and each complicated course of the diseases. The process going on the body of PBC and lupoid hepatitis may be main etiological factor among other multiple factors in the body. How the process leads to different entity of the diseases is unknown. Etiological role of the process in postnecrotic cirrhosis and chronic hepatitis will be more unstable than that in above mentioned diseases. 2. In vitro cultured pheripheral lymphocyte response to PHA is peculiar in a case of PBC and lupoid hepatitis and this is refered to as early maximum transformation.
