We objectively evaluated the early reflection of the room impulse response using a psycho-acoustic model and compared the results with those of a subjective evaluation test. An impulse response without early reflection was used as the response of the reference stimuli; for the evaluation stimuli response, early reflection was added. The same noise burst was convoluted into the response of the reference stimuli and that of the evaluation stimuli. The reference stimuli and the evaluation stimuli were compared to evaluate their difference. In the objective evaluation, a gammatone filter bank and a loudness model were used. The results of these objective and subjective evaluation agreed under certain conditions.
