In such case as the force acting on the groove-walls is circulary antisymmetrical, the deformation of a well is affected not only by the modulation of itself but also by the modulation of another wall, because the force acting on a wall also varies in accordance with the modulation of another wall. In general, F_1=F_1(q_1, q_2, S_1(t), S_2(t)) F_2=F_2(q_1, q_2, S_1(t), S_2(t)) where F is the force acting on the wall, S(t) is the displacement of stylus and q is the modulation of the wall. Then both S_1(t) and S_2(t) are function of q_1 and q_2. On account of this effect, both new harmonic distortions and cross-talk of fundamental are developed, and the latter changes the ratio of output voltage and phase shift between the right and the left channel. As examples of this; 1)Effect of pick-up-compliance which is not equal with respect to vertical and lateral direction, 2)Effect of pick-up-arm which is not infinit length, 3)Effect of tracking error, 4)Effect of the cutting wegde angle which is not 90℃ are caluculated and discussed. Experimental measurements under extreme conditions confirm with the theoretical caluculations. As the result, it is concluded that these effects are not too large as far as well designed pick-up and conventional vynilite record are used.
