• The complication of renal tuberculosis and renal calculus are rather rare, considering the cases appeared in the European literature, amounting nearly seventy or more, while we can only enumerate seven cases in this country. The ratio of the complication may rouchly be taken as 0.5-1.4% out of all the cases of renal tuberculosis and calculus. As to the ages, the three decades are most liable to fall to the victim. With regard to the sexes, the male is apt to be affected with the dideases than the female; the ratio being I against 3. To classify them from the point of the pathological anatomy, the complication of the tuberculosis and the calculus on the one side, are most numerous, while the tuberculosis on the one side, the calculus on the other, comes next. In the former, the tuberculosis appeared at first, and then the calculus; this is more numerous than those in which the calculus appeared at first, and then the tuberculosis came. I have found, four cases of renal tuberculosis complicated by renal calculus, in two hundred and sixty-four cases of nephrectomy, under the diagnosis of renal tuberculosis. In classifying them in accordance with the pathological, anatomy, the first was affected at first with calculus (oxalaten), then the tuberculosis; in the second (phosphaten) and the third (phosphaten and carbonaten) the tuberculosis came at first, then the calculus; and in the fourth, we could not decide upon whether the one came at first or the other appeared next
