Population changes of T and B cell caused by antigen, which was inoculated in lower right gingiva of mice with Freund' incomplete adjuvant, was examined in gnathic lymphnode and spleen. In adition, the local existence of antigen in gnathic lymphnode was immuno-pathologically observed by fluorescence antibody technique. The population of T cell in gnathic lymphnode increased markedly and teached the highest number after 24 hours 1) The population of T cell on the inoculated side of gnathic lymphnode was the maximum after 1 day from inoculation and began to decrease gradually after that time. The population of T cell, however, increased again after 7 day from inoculation. 2) The population of T cell on the other side of gnathic lymphnode inoculated hardly changed. 3) The population of B cell in spleen was lower than normal value for 14 days after inoculated. However, the population of T cell increased gradually for 3 days from inoculation attained the normal value 5th days. 4) The antigen, which was observed by fluorescence antibody technique, was widely disturbed in inoculated side of gnathic lymphnode after 1 day from inoculation. The fluorescence was especially markable after 3days from inoculation and decreased gradually after that time. The antigen on the other side of gnathic lymphnode inoculated was slightly observed for 3 days from inoculation. However, it was difficult to view the antigen after 3 days and was not observed. 5) The antigen adhered in the lymph cell was observed as the cap formation after 24 hours from inoculation. The figure of the cell which formed the cap formation changed to ring formation after 1 day from inoculation.
