• Plate impact experiments with PVDF (Poly Vinylidene DiFluoride) stress gauges to determine the dynamic mechanical properties of the ceramics Si_3N_4,SiC and TiB_2 were conducted using a shock gun system. From the experiments, we obtained the Hugoniot curves and the Hugoniot elastic limits of the ceramics.
