Determinations of the alkaline phosphatase activities in serum, bone, kidney and small intestine were made in the same experimental groups as reported in the previous paper. (1) The increases of alkaline phosphatase activities in serum and bone were to some extent checked by oral administration of citrate. (2) In the non-oral administration group, the alkaline phosphatase activity of bone increases as much as in the rachitic group and the activity of serum did not decrease as in the oral administration group. (3) There were appreciable differences in trends of alkaline phosphatase activities between citrate cure and vitamin D cure, and the change of bone matrix in the former was not so rapid as in the latter.
