When xylene was used as the solvent in the indophenol colorimetric determination of vitamin C in multivitamin preparations, the extraction was incomplete, but good results were given both by using ethylacetate or buthylacetate in stead of xylene and by changing concentrations of the indophenol solution and reaction factors.
