The concentrations of ^<35>S in the cerebsospinal fluid after intravenous injection of thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryldisulfide (TTFD)-^<35>S(inner) and thiamine propyldisulfide (TPD)-^<35>S (outer) or thiamine-^<35>S in dog were determined. Though ^<35>S in the cerebrospinal fluid in the case of TTFD-^<35>S (inner) or thiamine-^<35>S increased very slightly, ^<35>S in the case of TPD-^<35>S (outer) increased markedly. From the results of this study, it seems that the penetration of thiamine from blood to cerebrospinal fluid is difficult.
