(1) We have isolated a strain of Bacillus subtilis group, which produces protease very efficiently in submerged culture.(2) The pepteolytic activity of culture liquid after filtration is about 2500〜3000 FULD-GROSS unit per ml.(3) Its optimum pH for the digestion of casein is 7.6,and that for gelatin 8.0.
