• 1,The rootsystems and TR-ratios of 1 & 2 years old cuttings of Metasequoia and seedlings of 6 conifers, all of which grew under the same surroundings, were investigated.2,The rootsystem of Metasequoia developed well and it's TR-ratio was smallest in the investigated conifers.3. In Metasequoia was observed the characteristic mass of rootlet, which was seemed to be mycorrhiza.4,It was Taxodium that was most closely allied to Metasequoia from the point of each rootsystem and TR-ratio.
