(1) Crude beech pulp, semi-cooked chemically by S. P. method, is chlorinated by chlorinewater solution, then rapidly heated in the presence of resulted HCl and next washing by water, treated by NaOH solution. The stuff is bleached by bleaching powder. Thus, we obtained the good pulp for dissolving pulp, as follows, yield 47.3%, α-cellulose 91.6%, lignin 1.32% and relativeviscosity 6.31.(2) The beech chips are treated with cold caustic soda solution and then defibrated by Kneader and screened by flat-screen. Thus obtained crude pulp is purified in multistage bleaching; at the first stage, is chlorinated by chlorine-water solution containing 75% of necessiated Cl and then heated not removing its solution and extracted with NaOH solution, at the second stage, is chlorinated with 25% of necessiated Cl and treated as former, at the third stage, is chlorinated with chlorine-water solution containing chlorine corresponding to Roe number and then treated with caustic soda solution. The pulp bleached at the last stage by bleaching powder is as follows, yield 44.8%, α-cellulose 92.15% and relative viscosity 4.87.(3) If crude pulp is manufactured by hot caustic soda solution treatment and purified with nearly same (2) method, thus obtained pulp is as follows, yield 49.0% and α-cellulose 89.7%.
