• The total loss of forest resouces, in last Nov. due to pine bark beetles et. c. in Japan, are estimated as follows : Areas 37,206 (Cho), Trees 3,360,764 (Hon), Volume 1,482,268 (Koku).These losses occurs by injury of about ten species, it has different outside of injuries, and differences it's treatment of control, so that the writer classified 11 types for convenience sake.The relation between type and treatment of injured trees are as follows : (Table 1)
