We investigated the relation between the growth of weeds and soil fertility to found some good indicators. Preliminary results as follows : a) indicators of ferfilized soil.Digitaria ciliaris, Cyperus microiria, Portulaca oleracea, Botnriospermum tenellum var. asperugoides, Euphorbia maculata.b) indicators of non-fertilized soil.Eragrostis Niwahokori, Oxalis corniculata var. rubrifolia, Nasturtium indicum, Cetipeda minima, Sagina.c) relation with nitrogen supply.Digitalia ciliaris and Botnriospermum tenellum var. asperugoides were showed the best growth in the case of moderate nitrogen supply, but Oxalis corniculata var. rubrifolia was quite opposed to them. The growth of Euphorbia maculata increased as nitrogen supply, and Nasturtium indicum conversely decreased.d) relation with phosphorus supply.Digitalia ciliaris was showed the best growth in the case of moderate phosphorus supply, whiles Bothriospermum tenellum var. asperugoides and Centipeda minima were quite opposed to it.e) relation with Calcium supply.The growth of Sagina japonica and nasrurtium indicum decreased as calcium had been supplied. Eragrostis Niwahokori and Bothriospermum tenellum var. asperugoides were showed the best growth in the case of moderate calcium supply.
