This paper is the results of experiment that was made on "AKAKUSU" and "AOKUSU" for the the purpose of to find out which of these varieties is better.1. "AKAKUSU" was better than "AOKUSU" at the height and diameter growth on 1-year old seedlings.2. On the growing process of transplanted seedlings, both of them show little difference. But merely sprouting of "AOKUSU" was later than that of "AKAKUSU."3. The growing process of both varieties was in periodical, that is three times on the stem height and two times on the diameter growth.4. Difference of the growing process between the 1-year old and 2-years old is supposed to be caused by the physiological mechnism of the sprout.
