• Authors recent works on magnetic reversal mechanism in Sm_2Fe_<17>N_3 magnetic particles are reviewed. Single-domain particles (SDP) and multi-domain particles (MDP) are separately investigated. Domain-wall motion in MDP is free. It shows no relation to domain numbers and depends only on the shape of the particle. The SDP is categorized into the pure SDP and the saturable multi-domain particles (SMDP) which are in multi-domain state in demagnetized state and are magnetized into single-domain state after a certain magnetic field has been applied.
