We have succeeded in development of the thinnest crystal resonator unit in the world. The thin unit comprises a frame-resonator having a resonator and a supporting frame one-body-formed by means of photo-lithographic process, two containers half-etched on one side of quartz plates, and sheets of solder put between the containers and the frame-resonator, and is packaged in vacuum with heat. In order to accomplish the unit, several conditions for formation of metal film layers for enclosure in vacuum, transparence of half-etched surfaces of two containers, and the enclosure in vacuum, were determined by various experiments. These units are used in thin-small size analogue quartz watches for lady's use of Caliber 6720.
