• The new structure gold alloy plating consists of high-karat and low-karat gold alloy plating and nickel-phosphorus alloy multilayer plating, The Mechanical properties of as-deposited and heat-treated gold alloy multilayer plating in a new structure are reported here. properties determined in the as-deposited condition include tensile strength, hardness, internal stress and crystallization of thermal diffusion elements. Thermal diffusion elements, resistance to wear and corrosion are also determined at room temperature for deposits heat-treated at 320℃ for l hour in a vacuum atmosphere. the work shows the improvements in mechanical properties of gold alloy plating for watch cases.
