In Germany, Denmark and Austria, the regulations make advances in the effect to prevent nickel allergy. We developed Au-Fe alloy plating for nickelless gold plating of watch outer parts. The plating bath consists of gold compound, iron compound, titanium compound and brightening agent. The electrodeposit is Au-Fe alloy of iron content 1.6〜2.0wt%. The Au-Fe alloy plated watch parts have satisfactory quality in color, ware resistance and other characteristics.
